Coaching
Entrepreneurialism is a forever growing institution. With increasing numbers of competitors entering the market, how do you compete and win? Small to medium-sized businesses, especially startups are typically short staffed and forced to distribute limited resources between marketing, sales, business strategies, payroll, and operational responsibilities.
There comes a point where the established systems fail and it’s time to evaluate resources once more. Many times increasing staff is not a viable option, so how do you get the most out of the resources you have? Or better yet, how do you anticipate the needs before your systems collapse?
We answer that question with a comparison of sports and business. In sports, a team can be comprised of one player or many. As in business, the goal is to outperform the competitor by differentiating oneself. But, how does one continue to differentiate, while improving and outlasting their competition? What improves a team or business' chances of outlasting the other? The common thread in a team's ultimate success is determined by the level coaching or direction the team or individual receives.

Why does a coach play such a critical role? After all, isn’t there a team captain?
In entrepreneurship there is much talk of “working on the business” vs. “working in the business”. The coach is the person who works on the business, so the captain can focus his/her efforts working in the business. The coach ensures that the players deliver their best game by providing support, creating new plays and continuing to develop each player’s strengths, while combining the team’s strengths and weaknesses to build a stronger team altogether. The coach's ultimate objective is to stay leagues ahead of the competition and guide the team to success.
MYOBusiness provides your business a coaching relationship that goes beyond the boardroom by bringing practical solutions and in-your-face methods with a bit of humor and a reality check to every member of your team.
